Recent reports show loneliness is a rapidly growing problem in New Zealand. Our guest presenter Laurie Hilsgen, a founder of and current chief executive of Carers NZ, knows a thing or two about loneliness – she has been leading community consultations in the Waikato for a Loneliness Research project. She will talk about that project and the work of Carers NZ at our meeting this month. This will be our last meeting for the year so please join us for an interesting speaker and a Christmas morning tea.
