Getting the help you need?

Are you getting the support you’re entitled to from Government agencies such as WINZ or Oranga Tamariki? Are your clients?  

By increasing our knowledge of what’s available to people, we can help make life a little easier for those in need.

Financial mentor Vicky Mee has in-depth knowledge of what is available. At this month’s meeting, Vicky and Anne Doddrell from Grandparents Raising Grandchildren host a session bringing us up to date. Please join us.

And now for something completely different!

We have another speaker coming along to our monthly meeting on Wednesday 27 September. It’s Nathan Turner from BlueFloat Energy who will give us a presentation on an offshore Waikato windfarm.

Also speaking will be Constables Nardine Mackwood-Smith and Keven Greasley from Pukekohe’s Community Policing Team. They’ll be speaking about general trends in incidents they are dealing with and some of the positive events they have been involved in across our community.

Item 4: Guest speaker Marlon Drake, community organiser for Te Ohu Whakawhanaunga and one of the people behind the Better Budget for Auckland. Marlon will be speaking about the impact on community groups of proposed Auckland Council budget cuts.
