Franklin Food Forest

This is a community learning and demonstration project of the Franklin Branch of NZ Tree Crops Assoc. The facility, based at Pukekohe High School’s orchard (entry from Glasgow Road), consists of four food forest areas: urban; commercial; life-stylers and shelter belt.

We hold regular practicums at the food forest, covering topics including grafting and budding, pruning, hugelkulture, natural dye gardens, biochar and so so much more.

The Friends of the Franklin Food Forest meet on site every Thursday from 2:30 to 4:30 pm. Everyone is welcome.
