Disability Connect is a free information service that can help people with disabilities and their families to lead the lives they want, we empower disabled people and their families through leading social change. We can answer questions via email, phone, in person and we also run support groups in person and via zoom on a regular basis. Our support groups are run in Pakuranga (Chinese Autism Support Group) and our Parents Support/Social Group in Otahuhu.
We run some seminars including Planning for Adulthood (Welfare Guardianship, Wills, Trusts), Work and Income Supports. We also hold an annual transition expo generally in St Johns so families can come along and learn what is available when someone leaves school. It is great to start thinking early from approx. the age of 14.
Please ask any questions or ask for advice, if we don’t know straight away the answer we will endeavour to find out. Email email@example.com or 09 636 0351 or www.disabilityconnect.org.nz or Facebookhttps://www.facebook.com/ParentandFamilyResourceCentre2020-09-28 15:47:31
